Sonic had a more serious side at times, but was still a wisecracking smartass that he was in the comics, and AOSTH. the voice talent on this show was superb. it's storyline focused still on the Freedom fighters trying to stop Robotnik, but it had a much more serious tone, while still having quite a bit of humour along with it. instead, this was a much Darker sonic Cartoon. when the big day arrived, i was expecting something on hte silly side like the comics. i believe i first heard of the sonic cartoon via an issue of Disney adventures (which also mentioned another great show ReBoot). ABC was my favourite saturday morning channel at the time, airing such great shows as Beetlejuice, darkwing Duck, C.O.WBOYS of Moo Mesa, and more. this one would air on saturday mornings on ABC.
